In 2004, my ears started roaring and clicking. I could not hear anything unless I pressed on the side of my neck.
Turns out that after surgical menopause in my 30's, I had lost the fat pads that close the eustacheon tubes when standing or sitting.
I went to so many ENT's, tried tubes, tried meds, nothing helped.
I was at my wit's end.
Then I googled the symtomps and wondered"hey, could that be me?". Then I looked for any doctor in Houston specializing in it. There was one.
I went to see him and he had a Russian collegue visiting. While I was on the exam table, he motioned to the other doctor "you have got to see this!". The other doctor remarked "I have never seen such a thing outside the textbooks".
Bi-lateral Patulous Eustacheon Tube.
What did not work for me:
*allergy meds or steroids
*tubes put in
*graft from my nose to my ear
What does work:
patulEND drops from the Ear Foundation of Santa Barbara.

For $58 you can alliviate the suffering. I get no money from this. I just want to share a good thing and give hope.
It burns for a few seconds but the effects can last days.
Don't give up! You are not alone :)
